#playlikebray recipient Morgan Blair

Morgan Blair was awarded with the #PlayLikeBray award for his character, work ethic, and how he treats his teammates. This honor deserved to go to a person who best reflected characteristics of Braydin. Morgan’s behavior off the ice represents how we want our players to behave and what Braydin would have expected from his teammates. Morgan also plays with Braydin’s competitive edge and a fearlessness that simply cannot be taught. Braydin’s spirit continues to live on through the actions and hearts of those who follow. He’s set an unbelievably high bar which Morgan Blair will strive for as well as others who earn the #PlayLikeBray honors.

#playlikebray recipient Yarne Vaerewyck

  • Quote from Yarne: “I’m honored to receive the scholarship. Especially because of the meaning behind it and highlighting my brother Braydin. We all miss him and will never forget him. Knowing that my name will always be associated with Braydin Lewis is a blessing.”
  • Jets quote: “yarne is the perfect recipient for this because he embodies everything Braydin represented. He cares deeply for his family and his teammates. He’s passionate about his craft and dedicated. We are all grateful for having Braydin Lewis in our Jets family and look forward to continue honoring him every year with a new recipient.”

#playlikebray recipient Eli Kolosa

Eli Kolosa is a dedicated hockey player whose journey on and off the ice has been shaped by perseverance and family strength. At just four years old, Eli’s life was deeply impacted when his father was diagnosed with an anaplastic oligodendroglioma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. Despite the challenges that came with his father’s illness—including personality changes and physical struggles—Eli has drawn inspiration from his dad’s resilience, carrying that same determination into his hockey career.

Growing up in Brownstown, MI, Eli now plays for the Fort Wayne Spacemen, where his character and work ethic have earned him recognition as a player who embodies the values of resilience, family, and leadership. The organization has chosen him to carry on Braydin Lewis’s legacy, honoring the way he treats his teammates and approaches the game with heart and determination.

#playlikebray recipient Jack Noonan

Jack is a returning forward in his last year of junior eligibility with the Jets and is seeking a college opportunity. He is one of the core leaders and players on the perennial Metro Jets in the USPHL. One of the hardest working players in the game who takes pride in coming to the rink every day with a hockey player's mindset of always wanting to get better. Respected by all his teammates and staff, Jack is a special player on the ice and even better person off the ice. He is always putting others first, always asking the staff what more he could to do help and one of the best leaders by example in everything he does. When you meet Jack for the time, you will see how he engages with you. He's polite, attentive, very humble and carries himself professionally. Jack is an asset to any organization and will be successful in whatever career he choses because of his character.
